For at least the next 3 weeks, things will be somewhat back to normal in the Park; the JTNP staff will be back in full service to both the Park and visitors. We at FOJT encourage visitation and responsibly exploring both the park and the town and businesses in Joshua Tree. Get the full JTree experience!

February 15 is the deadline for the Congress to pass (and President sign) a new budget into law. We’ll be reporting the updates as the Park and community are affected, so stay tuned to this site, or our social stream .

BREAKING NEWS – The zero-interest loan program being sponsored by Friends Of Joshua Tree is being extended to applicants who are contractors to the Park. Now that JTNP furloughed workers are assured back pay and a paycheck (soon), we will be extending the offer to help the contractors in the region who are negatively affected by the operational shutdown and won’t be getting any back pay. This will also apply to the future furloughed workers in both categories, should there be another shutdown to deal with.

Applicants to the FOJT small loan program will remain highly confidential, though vetted to assure qualifications. Interested parties can reach out to harpfojt@gmail.com to apply.
