Kenji Haroutunian is an Organizational Consultant, Event Strategist and Show Organizer with particular expertise on the inter-connections of the global Outdoor Recreation Industry ecosystem. His events are well known to thousands and highly regarded, including his recent productions The Big Gear Show and Climb Smart in Joshua Tree.
Kenji has been a retail shop manager, climbing guide, first ascensionist, large event director, large company vice-president, inclusion coach, business consultant and board director across many dozens of outdoor-centric organizations. Kenji has a substantial network of thousands of organizations across the greater outdoor adventure/recreation world. His current projects include building the California Outdoor Recreation Partners (a business coalition for the state) as a founding board director and leading the Lost Paddle Events team’s outdoor category. Kenji is also active as a coach and organizational guide leading equity and inclusivity initiatives for associations and companies in the outdoor realm.
In addition to operating his agency noted above, Kenji is also founding board director of California Outdoor Recreation Partnership, immediate Past President of the Access Fund, President Emeritus of Friends Of Joshua Tree, Founding Director of Southern California Climbers Coalition, and national steering committee member of the Recreate Responsibly coalition. His experience speaking publicly and creating collaboration among diverse groups coming together give him broad business insight to share and inspiration for moving the needle in organizations looking to take on new challenges and stretch goals in a sustainable, inclusive and authentic way.
